Restaurant.com just added House of Blues in the Orlando area. With the current code BITE you can get a $25 certificate for two bucks!

Any reviews on House of Blues in Downtown Disney? Got my certificate last night, so we are going to try it!

Thanks :cool2: turning40withMickey! I loved being able to pay for Restaurant.com with PayPal.

We are so looking forward to trying this in October.

Yep I saw this a few days ago. I'm heading there on Friday night with my certificate. Remember there is a minimum of $35 you have to spend. But that really shouldn't be too much of a problem. :goodvibes

I've never used them before. I am searching the site now for the rules.....I was just curious if you could use unlimited # of gift certificates per meal....could you use them on a bar bill? etc

also do you have to print them out right now? - my printer at home is not hooked up but I could print to work tomorrow.

ok looks like one per meal per the terms and conditions.

eta. ok I ordered two. If I don't end up using them hopefully I can give them to someone else. I figure a dinner and maybe a brunch there. we'll see. Thanks for posting!

HoB is great - we've dined at the Orlando, New Orleans, and Vegas locations and the food has always been terrific.

Thanks for the heads up - I just bought one for our Vegas trip in May! They serve a great breakfast at the Vegas location ... :thumbsup2

HOB has been one of our favorite restaurants for over 10 years, so this is an incredible deal for us.

Please take the time to read the terms and conditions --- minimum $35 order, at least 2 people, 1 coupon per month per party (even if party splits in 2 and sits at 2 separate tables). On the actual coupon, it looks like the restaurant calls a # to verify/activate the coupon -- I'm not sure how they could know whether we'd just used one the day before unless there's some system that keeps track of the coupons I buy and when I use them. Anyway, can't wait to use this in Oct.

For the person acting for recommendations --- they serve cornbread in a skilllet that I always purchase as a separate appetizer. It's a mix of sweet and a little hot and just delicious with honey butter. We would never ever order meatloaf in a restaurant, but a waiter told us it was a popular choice so we tried it. It's very tasty! DH has recommended it to several of his guy-friends and they now order it regularly. Burgers are good, as well as salads.

Thank you....I already had a reservation there for Sept....this will come in very handy....just printed mine out.

Do you they have live music during the meal. If so...what time should we make dinner reservations?

Thank you OP!! We will be using this on our June trip-we have two nights room only before going on the DxDP, we were planning on sticking with McD's and pizza-but this is a wonderful way to save some $$!

This is a great deal, but some times restaurants will stop selling their certs. on restaurant.com after a few months and then will no longer honor the certs. even though they do not expire for a year. Restaurant.com is great and will credit you your account, but if you are buying to use them later this year I would just recommend calling the HOB a week before you dine to make sure they still honor them. I have been to few restaurants that have done this, and it really stinks, but even more so when your on vacation.

So if I understand this process.... I buy the $25 certificate for $2 then must spend $35 in the restaurant and they will deduct the $25 so I have to pay the difference + tax and tip? Is that correct? Are there restrictions, such as alcohol is not counted on the $25 certificate?

From my past experiences with shopping at restaurants.com, they typically say the restrictions right underneath the prices. For example, this one for HoB says 18% gratuity added. This is usually where they will give the "no alcohol" restrictions if there are any. So my guess would be you could use it towards alcohol as well. Just my experience. :)
