House of Blues DDP question...

I noticed on their menu that some items say you can add a soup or salad for $3...can you use that option and still just use 1 TS credit?

This varies from restaurant to restaurant.

I don't have any personal experience with the House of Blues, but in general the non-Disney-operated restaurants are a bit stricter on things like this, and more likely to charge you for extras or substitutions (like $4 extra for a salad with a meal, or $2 extra for onion rings instead of fries, or things like that).

I don't know for sure, but I assume that this is because of the way that Disney reimburses/compensates them for the credits used there, which probably does not provide for such things.

Like the PP, I have 0 experience with HoB, so a grain of salt is needed.

If they follow other non-Disney locations trends, chances are you can add that salad, but you'd have to pay OOP for the salad itself (thinking of VN here with the additional pizza toppings). So, my random guessing is that you can use the TS for the entree, but you'd have to pay the $3 for the salad. I could be totally wrong though and they may even not allow you to add the salad at all (the chances of it being covered are pretty low).

May be worthwhile to give them a call to see what they say (the restaurant itself, not Disney Dining). Otherwise, just ask while you're there. While that won't help in the planning phase, at least it'll be a definitive answer.

your TS covers a entree and you can orde what ever else you want and they will give you a bill for that so is not a problem. can not subsitute items excpet say a baked potato if they have them instead of fries or mashed but not a salad for a dessert have to take the dessert. when we go to House of Blues we have to orde on the side the cornbread as it is so good and we just pay for that OOP
