House as close as possible to Universal

If anyone ever rented a house that was much closer to Universal then Disney please tell me about it! We are thinking of going down for 2 weeks and one of those weeks would be for my son to be in a day camp that is just north of Universal so I want a place in that area...Would love any assistance!

I don't think there are any houses for rent because of zoning around there, but there is a community with condos & townhomes that are individually owned - Vista Cay. You can rent from http://www.vistacayrent.com/. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo there in March 2007 and it was very nice.

Vista Cay would be a great location, only 3 miles from Universal and the only short-term rental resort in Orange County other than hotel condos. There are 2 bedroom, 2 bath and 3 bedroom, 2 bath condos and 3 bedroom, 3-1/2 bath townhomes. It has a 10,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse with loads of amenities. You can also find many condos and townhomes on www.homeaway.com and www.vrbo.com. It is a great resort!

Ahh - thanks to both you for the explanation. I could not figure out why there were no houses closer to that area.

I will look at Vista Cay - that might work out perfect!
