The gavel has come down on the 110th Congress, with the House adjourning until Jan. 3, 2009.

The chamber could still reconvene if there's a need, but at this point, the next time Nancy Pelosi sits in the speaker's chair, there will be a new president-elect and dozens of new House members from both parties will be sworn in.

The Senate is coming back Nov. 17 for a lame-duck session to try to dislodge a handful of noncontroversial bills being blocked by Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn

Well, to the 110th congress, I say..."BOOOOOOOOOO...!"

Well thank the Lord they've gone home! They've done quite enough damage.

I will be taking a list of all current sitting and voting with a vengeance.

Just how many members of the House of Representatives are you planning on voting for (against)? I only have one, and I am not happy he voted no today, probably because he is facing a challenger who would have used a yes vote against him!

Lame! That's a perfect term for the 110th Congress. Our rep ran unopposed. I hope someone runs against him the next time and beats the tar out of him.

Congress works when the eyes of the country are on them-no wonder they spend all of their time working to be re elected instead of working for us!

You and me both. ::yes::

If only they were as productive as the American worker, just think of all the thing they could accomplish........

or mess up.:rolleyes:
