My husband and I are leaving a week from Saturday for Disney. I noticed that the Fantasmic show on Monday for us is at 8:30 but the park closes at 8:30. The same with Magic Kingdom the fireworks and shows start at 9PM and the park closes at 9PM. Do they close the park and throw you out.

I wouldn't say the "throw you out," but yes, these events close the park. There won't be any attractions open after this. After Wishes, Fantasmic, and IllumiNations end, everyone heads for the gates.

They aren't going to rush you out too much, you can stroll at a slow pace as long as you are heading in the right direction. But, if you aren't moving in the direction of the gates, you will find the CM's a little more aggressive. They want to get off work!

Nope the Fireworks are often at closing time, you can stay until the fireworks are over.
Then the Pixie dust police come(just kidding).

I found it on the allearsnet website under operating hours...on the bottom of the page for shows they tell you the time if your show is for August...I don't think they have later dates yet.
