DW and I have been discussion DVC for several months now and we will be at WDW in 14 days. I have been in contact with a DVC Rep and they have sent me info. I do not want to take the two hour tour as we will only be there for 4 days and do not want to take to much time from my kids fun. DW and I do not want to make a purchase without seeing an actual room. If we do purchase we will probably go the resale route at SSR.

I have heard you can just show up at SSR and walk through the preview center without an appt.

My question is what are those hours. I can't seem to find it anywhere on several boards that I have search or DVC website.

Thanks for your help.

5:00 to 7:00pm on wednesday or thursday.

but I think it is only for current DVC members. not the general public.

It may be only for current members but no one ever asked for even my name when I wandered through the rooms on two different trips. There was sign out on the sidewalk next to the Springs building next to the bus stop giving the hours so I just went on in. If they have moved it to new location then things may be different now, And yes I am a member so wasn't violating any rules.

We went to the Preview Center one evening last July when we were at OKW.

We were NOT asked for any ID, membership card, etc.

We were not DVC members when we took the unguided tour this summer.
Didn't want to do the 2 hr presentation since we already had a guide in Calif. We were told after 5pm any day. We walked into the reception area, explained we already had a Calif guide, were visiting WDW and wanted to tour the models. One of the cm walked us over to the AKV models and pointed out where the SSR models were across the street. Once in the AKV models, we just eavesdropped on some of the guides' giving tours. There were cms in the SSR models who were very nice and gave us the full tour.
