When we cruise next September, DD will actually turn 3, the day we get back to port. So, since she can't get into Oceaneers, just wondering what the hours of Flounders is? THX!

I dont know floounders hours but as long as she is potty trained she can go to the club.

I am not sure when they open... sometime around 9 or 10am to 11 or 12am but are closed from 3-6ish...

Or something close to that.... lol

Hope that gives you enough of an idea.

If she's completely potty trained, then she can go in the Oceaneer's Club. In fact, if she turns 3 while on the cruise, my guess is they're expecting her.

As others have posted, if your DD is fully potty trained (no assistance needed for anything) than she will be able to use the Oceaneer's Club. Their hours are 9 am to midnight, I believe. If your DD is not potty trained, then Flounders is available. The hours at Flounders vary somewhat. For us (7 night Mex Riviera), the hours were noon to 4 and 6 to midnight the first sea day, then 10-2 and 6-midnight on Monday and Friday (our other sea days). On the days in port, the hours were 9 to 1 (I think) and 6 - midnight.

One thing to remember about Flounders is they do not feed the children, so your child needs to be fed before arriving and picked up for her next meal. At the Club, they take the kids to one of the restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Do a search on this board. Others have posted about how they have handled young ones and "potty trained-ness" at the club.

Good Luck and have a wonderful cruise.

We are sailing on the 10/27 Wonder. Its our first cruise, so I had many questions... I was told when I called, to see if my potty trained 2 1/2+ year old would be able to get into the Oceaners Club with his big brother (6), they said only if he was with 30 days of his 3rd birthday could he be admited into the older child program; upon availiblitly. Otherwise he would have to go to Flounders. Unfortunaly there, they have a 2 hr minumum per visit and 10 max per 4 night cruise. At $6 per hour.

Does anyone have an inside scoop of how I can get my well spoken (speaks in clear full sentances), fully potty trained, not quite 3 year old (he will be 2 years, 8 months old at the day of arrival WDW) into the Oceaners club? I think he is far past the nursery scene and will enjoy being with big brother(6)!!?? Thanks! :grouphug:

Grendalynn, don't stress about it. Just go TALK TO THE COUNSELORS in the Club when you get on board. They are the ones who make the final call. DCL is really more interested in everyone having a great time than they are in following rigid age rules. They will usually give a younger child a "trial" and and they continue to come to the club if they fit in with the group.

FYI, he won't actually be in the group with his big brother since the age groups are 3-4s and 5-7s but they will be in the same general area. Since you mentioned that he's pretty verbal that shouldn't be a problem.

Have a WONDERful vacation.

Thanks so much for the info! Its always nice to hear the feedback that I am looking for on t hese boards! I hope they let him with older brother. Same area, but not the same group, is great! What will happen to all of the Flounder reservation I have made at this point if they do happen to take him with the older group?? Any ideas?? Thanks so much - wish us luck!!

This is correct!
My 4.5 yr old disabled DD, who is incontinant and in diapers was allowed to attend Oceaneer's Club and stay without an attendant. I had a pager and went back frequently to check on her and change her. But they were the ones who said she could stay alone.
Hoping this will occur when we go in Jan 06 again
