Hours for Grand Floridian Walkway

Does anyone know the hours for using the Grand Floridian Walkway? I know it closes at night during Electric Water Pageant, does it reopen after that? Spending the evening this Friday at Magic Kingdom and want to make sure I can walk back to the Grand and avoid the monorail or boat.

We just got back from GF on Sunday. While I don't know if there are specific hours actually posted, we never saw it closed. My DH would go out for a jog at 5:30am and it was open. We watched the Electrical Water Pageant from there more than once (great view!!)

I haven't ever seen in closed. We walked back during Electrical Water Pageant one night and got stuck at the bridge while they opened it to let the boats through after it was finished - It took all of maybe 5 minutes that we had to wait, but I think that's about as much as it "closes".

Can anyone tell my how long of a walk it is from between GF and MK? Just looking general terms - 15 minute walk? More. Just looking at a couple videos, it seems like it might be similar to walking to HS from Boardwalk, but not clear. So glad they finally did this from GF. Thanks....

1. 10 min.-ish.
2. Roughly that.

Anyone have an idea of how long the walk is from Magic Kingdom to TTC? I'm going Christmas week and could see that being a faster alternative to waiting for the monorail or boats.

If MK to GF is 10-15 minutes, continuing on through GF, past the Wedding Pavilion, and then through Poly to TTC is probably 20-30 minutes total, depending how fast you walk.

Yeah, that's about right. It won't beat the monorail or boat unless they're backed up and you're waiting for a few.
