Ordered my tickets (Eight 7day PHPs) from Hotwire on Monday, along with 1 Blockbuster $25 card and 3 Circuit City $25 cards. They arrived today, nice little package, no sweat! The cards look just like I'd gotten them at the store... well, except maybe for Circuit City. They were just the cards -- no backing-paper that you could write on. The Blockbuster card came in its own little envelope. Too bad I don't plan on giving it to anyone... I just plan to use it for our family with a 20% savings! No shipping charge -- none. Adult 7 day passes were 302.90. WOW! I went to print the $10 back receipt and my printer jammed -- rats, and then it wouldn't print the form! Wrote an Email to Hotwire about it -- they replied the next a.m. with the address, etc. -- again, no problem! I am just NOT seeing the downside to this at all! Now of course, my frugal dh wants me to sap it for what it worth and quit (doesn't want to pay the $7.95 each month that will start in about 15 more days....) But honestly, if I buy 1 or 2 gift cards per month, it's paid for. Anything beyond that is gravy. And considering you could buy up to 15 cards per merchant per year, I'm just not sure how you COULDN'T save, overall. I'm thinking at xmas, buy up 10 TOysRUs cards... it's like 20% off! Then get a mess of the restaurant cards for the adults on your list... I got the 3 Circuit City cards to buy a computer monitor for my son. It was 129, on sale for 79, I think... and I'll be getting it for another $15 off that! Wow. Mark me a satisfied Hotwire member!

PS -- The tickets are too cute. Granted, they scare me -- they are paper, and I do so like the plastic card type Disney issues. ANYWAY... each ticket has a different character on the front. Thank goodness they didn't send a bunch of Minnies. My sons would have balked for sure! ::MinnieMo :crazy2:  ::MinnieMo It should be perfect: Minnie for me and dd, Mickey for dh, goofy for eldest son, donald for middle son. We'll know whose ticket is whose just by the character at a glance! Same goes for my in-laws... how cool. Next stop... the photocopier to get the numbers on these suckers "secured" just in case, however!

My annual pass is on paper stock. I've never had a plastic card. Do you mean the room key?

If you cancel your membership you won't get your $5 back for each of your gift cards. You must be an active member to get your rebates. There is a thread about this over on the budget board.

Dodn't worry about your PHP! They hold up great! (We ordered ours from hotwire for our april trip!)

In regard to the plastic card comment -- when you buy your tickets at the park, they put them on your room key. If it's a PHP pass, those "room keys" then become your PHP pass, which means, if you don't use all the dates on them, those little plastic cards are good (as tickets -- not as room keys) until all the days / plusses are used up. HOWEVER... considering I'd pay about $68 per head more for a ticket at WDW gate prices (for the plastic card) -- I think I can "deal" with the paper ones!

As for the $5 rebate -- yes, it's true, we are aware you have to stay in long enough to recover all your "rebates". My DH was just making the argument that we should buy up whatever we plan to buy, get our rebates, then quit ASAP so that we spend as little on the membership as possible.

Glad to hear the paper ones hold up well!

I am glad you are loving Hotwire! I just joined this morning & ordered some breakfast vouchers & movie tickets. If I have a good experience with this order, I may stick with it for awhile too.

I have been a member of the Hotwire Savings Club for almost a year now. I feel that it has been a good deal for only 7.95 a month. I have ordered 38 Q&C vouchers, 20 breakfast vouchers and 6 VKLunch vouchers. Have not used it for anything else but we have saved enough on our meals in 4 trips to WDW that I will remain a member as long as the rules stay the same and the fee does not change!
