Has anyone ever used hotwire.com to get a UO resort?

I was reading on mousesavers.com that they sometimes come up and it is fairly easy to tell if the hotel was indeed a Universal hotel.

Just wondering if they come up often and what the prices are like if they do

Thanks, Laurie

We just used hotwire for a 'Universal Area' Hotel.

We accepted a Four Star for either $59 or $69 a night (I can't remember).

We got the Rosen Plaza on International Drive. Very nice hotel with a good pool.

We didn't have any problems. It was nice using the Valet parking at the end of a long day and it was $7. They only charged us once, so we got to use the Valet the whole week for $7!

We have used hotwire a few times in other cities too and always took either 3 or 4 star and have always had great hotels (Rosen Plaza, Wyndam, Hilton, Holiday Inn).

Good Luck!

very much for the replies. I really want to stay on site for the FOTL perk. I read on mousesavers that hotwire sometimes offers universal resorts and how to recognize them and I did check out the betterbidding site. I guess universal resorts don't come up that often.

I was just wondering if anyone here ever got one thru hotwire.

Thanks again!
