Hotwire??

Nope, I simply refuse to pay for something I am perfectly capable of doing myself, also, I don't like all my credit info everywhere.

We used them once a few years ago to rent a car. Everything went very well. We had an SUV from Buget for half the price everyone else wanted.
The downside is you pay up front and if you are a no-show, you still pay.

I used it to get my reservations at the Dolphin for $81 in November. I was scared to death, even though I knew the list of amenities matched the Dolphin 100%. But I bit the bullet and did it and, boy, am I glad. We had ressies before at ASMo and the Swan (to save $$), but because of Hotwire, we'll be able to spend the whole week in the Epcot resort area.

You've gotta know what you're doing though. You've gotta know which amenities match which hotel. http://www.betterbidding.com can help you out there.

I would not use Hotwire or Priceline for airfare to WDW because flight times are important to me.

From what I've read, using Hotwire or Priceline for car rentals is hit or miss for saving money.

I used it two years ago for a one night stay in Orlando. We had just finished up at the Grosvenor, but wanted to spend one more night at a cheapie.

I ended up getting the Doubletree Club hotel (the pineapple hotel right across from Crossroads) for $13 for the night, Memorial Day weekend. It was great!

I've used it since then a couple of times and have always gotten a great results. I know it isn't for everyone, but my husband and I are really flexible. Plus, nothing could be worse than the hotel we stayed at on our way back from Colorado.....but that's another story.....

I've used ti several times and have never had a problem.

I used it for the first time (and yes, I was scared, and yes, I had my fingers crossed and yes I already had a reservation for a King Room at POR for $110.00 a night) I got the Dolphin for 65.00 per night. With taxes and resort fee it is only 82.00 and change per night. My husband and I are on a solo trip to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary and love the idea of staying in an Epcot resort. We have stayed at the Yacht Club and the Boardwalk, so we are curious about the Dolphin.

For our trip this Christmas (26th-2nd) I tried Hotwire because I knew everything else would be way too expensive. We got the DTD Hilton. I know it's not themed Disney, but it is still in a great location for $58/night. I, too used betterbidding.com to try and figure out which hotel I would be getting, and I was right on the mark. Location was most important to us for this trip, next to price, of course. Wish us luck!

Most people can't get hotel rooms at Hotwire/Priceline prices on their own. I've never used Hotwire, but I've used Priceline quite a few times for hotels, and a few times for airfare.

This statement confuses me. What can you do that they do and you have to pay them for???

I've used Hotwire for hotels but didn't find their car and airline deals that great. They do have Priceline beat in the area that they do show amenities and you can GUESS at what you're getting. The Universal hotels show up every now and then for GREAT prices.

We purchased air tickets a few years ago. The only problem I had was that I lost most of the day coming, and going. But since my alternative was driving, if I couldn't get cheap air, it was worth it.

We would use them again, if the price was right.

Good Luck:D

thanks for the feedbaack, may be taking a quick trip at the end of the month and checked hotels in and the courtyard, and checked the airfare on hotwire but wanted to know your opinions.

Hotwire is good for hotels, it's a few dollars more than PL but you can be very sure of what you're getting.

I wouldn't touch them for air. Bad flight times may kill the first and last day of your vacation. You may even get indirect routing such as NY -CHICAGO-ORLANDO.
Jet Blue and SW are currently running fare sales. If you can't get what you want to Orlando try Tampa.
