I have been reading the threads on Hotwire and Priceline for several weeks now, and I have also been doing research on betterbidding.com. I watched on Hotwire what I believed to be the Dolphin, fluctuate in price over several weeks. The lowest was $88 and and highest $98 for our dates.
So last night I took the plunge and based on the 4* rating and the amenities (rest-pool-fitness-business-golf-tennis-laundry) listed in the Walt Disney World Area, I took a chance. It was the Dolphin, and I got it for $92 7/3-7/5!!! I had previously booked the Dolphin for those two nights at the teacher's discount of $129, but this was much better!
We always stay at the YC, our favorite, but with value season not starting until 7/5, I was not going to pay over $300 a night for a room! (We're transfering over to the YC on the 5th when value season begins.) So we decided to give the Dolphin a try since we have dined there many times, and we really like the resort and the location. I just can't get over how reasonable the price is for a holiday weekend!
Yeah Hotwire!! Maybe I'll see how their car rental rates are too!
