I have been trying to communicate with their customer service online for 4 days - they can't or don't read the emails. I finally picked up the phone & called. The first rep would not let me pose my questions & kept talking over me... when I told him to stop so I tell him again what I wanted he started telling me I was ABUSIVE & hung up on me.. I called back, livid of course, at which time the rep (obviously his friend) informed me that if I was speaking to the other rep that way then I deserved to be hung up me and then he promptly hung up on me... Third attempt, this time the rep kept me on hold for 10 minutes, I guess hoping that I would hang up - she would come back occasionally to tell me that the computer was slow, yadda yadda. My intent was simple; confirm that I purchased 18 vouchers on 7/3 because I never got an email confirming the purchase & haven't gotten them yet (there is no way to check your past purchases online) & I need the confirmation email to get my $10 rebate, could they resend it? I FINALLY found out that Yes they got the purchase, no there is no way to check it online & no they NEVER send a confirmation email on purchases through them - so how do I get my $10 rebate I ask, oh well, she says, YOU have to get a copy of your credit card statement to prove it - yeah great I did it on my Paypal account I don't get statements. UNBELIEVABLE!!! They offer a rebate & make it near impossible to redeem it (I know federal regulations & the regulators don't like bait & switch tactics, blatant or perceived by consumers) I should have heeded past warnings about them - I used Connections in the past & never had a problem. Lesson learned!

I didn't get a confirmation email for any of the orders that I placed with them either. What I do is print out the page that tells what you ordered and the amount. It says to print this page for your records, which I always do in case I have problems. Anyway, that is the page that I sent in to get my $10 rebate. I received it 2 weeks after I mailed in for it. It even tells you on the rebate form that you can use that page to get it. I have placed a couple of orders for tickets and received them in less than a week.

Sorry to hear about your problems with them. I would call back a different day. If you get the same treatment, ask for a supervisor.

I had the same experience getting the rebate - just printed out the page that said I was entitled to it and a copy of my next order and sent it with the form- got the rebate in no time. It must have been a bad day there as I have had only positive experiences with HWSC both online and on the phone. I called one time because only part of the order arrived and as soon as I gave the woman my number she knew exactly what I was missing ( back ordered items ) and offered a
resonable alternative item that I could get sooner. Please give them another try. I have saved so much with Disney tickets, food vouchers, and especially movie tickets that it has more than paid for itself. It is one of the best things I ever found on this board. Just remember to print out the page showing your order from now on.
 
I'm sorry that you had such problems. I have never received anything but amazingly polite service from them. I also wondered what I was supposed to mail since no confirmation email was sent. I called and talked to Theo and he was amazingly helpful and let me know to just mail the order confirmation page. He even gave me the specific address and a phone number to call if I didn't receive my credit within a month (I believe.)
 

I'm sorry you've had bad luck with Hotwire Savings Club. Just for the record, HWSC and Connections are the same company (they are dealpass sites), the customer service reps are the same, they just answer the phone (as Connections, or HWSC, or Galleria, or Homeworks, etc etc) based on the phone number called. And they don't send confirmation emails for orders, only for the sign-up. I also sent in the printout of my order confirmation page to get my $10 rebate.

How do you get on these sites to see what prices they offer? Is there a way to look around before you join? I haven't tried yet, but I am very interested IF it can save me considerable amount of money.

I hATE getting rude treatment on the phone. Just burns me up. I am sorry that happend to you. Is there a customer service address you can write to and tell what happened? Do you have their names? I think it is very important to provide feedback when you get great service and when you get rude service. Otherwise managment can't fix what is wrong or praise what is right!

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad time with Hotwire. I've not had any problems with them. I did order some vouchers in June but never received them. I spoke to several of the CSR's and 2 managers called me to confirm I had never received the shipment. They sent a replacement with signature required yesterday. Everyone I spoke with was very polite and spoke clear English (which is not what I encountered when I went through Connections).
