hotwire/connections movie passes

Can any of you that have ordered these passes tell me any of the fine print that is on them? expiration dates, movies they can't be used at, ect? I never ordered any because there is not a theatre in my area, but SD in another state wants some and I figured it would make a good Christmas gift, but I don't want to get them if there are restrictions that would make it a problem to use them

They cant be used during the first 2 weekends of a movie's showing. Meaning my theater would not accept them during opening weekend, and the following 2 weeks. This is for AMC theater tickets.

mine are lowes and they say first 10 days.

They are good for one year

My regal tickets say no expiration on the back of the ticket The Concession special ( free candy with purchase of two medium or largers drinks and one large popcorn) expires 12/31/03 on the ones I have now. They also have the statement about not being valid the first 10 days of a "selected" new release film. They then say you can pay a $1.50 upgrade fee on restricted films. Don't know if that means the ones in the first ten days or not. We don't use the "concession special" part of the ticket so didn't care about the expiration date on that. Oh yes there is a $2.50 surcharge if used in Manhattan or for an IMAX giant screen showing. The ones I have list Regal Entertainment Group, Edwards theaters, Regal Cinemas, and United Artist Theaters as where they can be used.

My daughter used one of the Regal tickets tonight to see the movie Love Actually. I think these are a great deal because I have 3 teenage daughters that go to the movies almost every weekend.

At our Regal cinema, they don't hold to the 14 day blackout. We just look in the listing (online or in the newspaper) and as long as it doesn't say "no passes allowed" for a certain movie--even if it is brand new--they let us use the tickets. They are a great deal.
