I am trying to get a reservation for MCO Hyatt.

I dare not even dream to get a price below $ 50 although some of the lucky ones were able to do so.

Whenever I go to Hotwire and choose the airport area, there comes a 3.5 star hotel for $ 58 with amenities like pools, fitness centre and a restuarant.

I am not sure if it is Hyatt. If it is not, anyone has any clues what it may be?

Since it does not provide shuttle service from the ariport to the hotel, I am really wondering which 3.5 star hotel does not provide shuttle as most of the hotels close to the airport provide shuttle. Other than Hyatt, I cannot think of any.

However, according to some posts, amenities for Hyatt should include a business center and a nearly tennis court.

So, if it is not Hyatt, what might it be? Anyone can help?

I got the Hyatt for Dec 6 for 25.00 on hotwire. I printed out the info for future 2005 Western. 31/2 stars, Food, Pool, Weight room, Business centre, Tennis. These were the icons. Hope this helps. I've read on these posts that there is a hotel that shows up without a shuttle and people book it thinking it might be the Hyatt, however I can't remember which hotel it is.

I saw this hotel too and asked the same question. I was told that this is the Sheraton suites - not the Hyatt. The Hyatt has all the amenities that Wendy listed. Good luck!

I just checked the Sheraton MCO and they do provide complimentary shuttle between the airport and hotel.

I don't know when your cruising but if you have a while just keep checking hotwire everyday. That's what I did, and one night there it was out of the blue.

Do you have to pay a 'fee' to join Hotwire? Is this a monthly fee type of 'club' or can anyone use this service to book rooms?

Thanks IFlossU for checking that Sheraton MCO provides shuttle. That means the the one that is showing at hotwire is NOT Sheraton.

I iwll be going in March 04 so I still have some time to check. Actually I would be glad if I can get Hyatt for $ 60.

Be careful!

There have been posts in the past where someone got the Sheraton Suites but the hotwire listing DIDN'T have the shuttle icon!

Personally I wouldn't use hotwire unless you are sure you're ok with getting a hotel other than the Hyatt. Hopefully you won't have to worry about it but just in case....

I know Barb is able to book Mariott at priceline.com for around $ 28 but I really don't know how we can be sure it's Mariott.

Yes, be careful. It's also my understanding that eventhough Sheraton does have a shuttle, they don't list it on Hotwire as an amenity. Very tricky!

I have both used Hotwire and stayed at the Sheraton Suites. The hotel is very nice and if you get that for $50, you got a good deal. Like someone else posted, if you definitely want the Hyatt, then don't use Hotwire unless you're sure. There are a ton of hotels right around the Sheraton that it could be too. Try Expedia since you know what you'll get.

you can get a lot of good information from a website called www.biddingfortravel.com They will give you an idea of what you can get for what price. I used it to bid on a Tampa Hotel and got a wonderful Hyatt regancy for $44.00 a night. This hotel is a $200 a night hotel!!! There is a $5.00 booking fee thru Hotwire though isn't there? I got Ameerisuites through Hotwire at the airport for $43.00. Since I needed a large room and was fairly rue the hotel listed was amerisuites I was happy with what I got. Good luck!!!! Melissa

I've never been charged a booking fee using Hotwire, whether it's been hotel, air, or car.

I have used so many different booking agencies online, maybe I was confused....somewhere I was charged $5.00...perhaps it was thru orbitz or something like that. It was still cheaper booking online though. Thanks for clearing my brain....Melissa

Hi! I also booked The Hyatt that night, thanks to IFlossU. It was 11/11/03 @ 8:23pm... and it was $24.00.

If you decide to use Priceline, you can get a good hotel for a great price, like Barb does. She doesn't know that she will get the Marriott -- no one knows what they will get on Priceline. BUT, if you bid on 3* hotel for MCO, you will get a nice hotel, but maybe not the Hyatt. All the 3* hotels do have free shuttle service. biddingfortravel.com is a great resource to see what hotels are coming up for which dates and prices. The 3*'s that have had winning bids posted on biddingfortravel.com are Marriott, Renaissance, Sheraton Suites, Holiday Inn Select, and Hyatt. I got the Renaissance for $28 for the end of Sept 2003. I bid on is about 3 weeks in advance. For our upcoming trip, I got the Holiday Inn Select for $39. I kept bidding over a couple of weeks, starting at $28 and uping to $38 or $39 with free re-bids (the biddingfortravel FAQ explains how to do this if you are not familiar). I wasn't getting anyone to accept my bids, but finally a few weeks ago, HI Select did at $39. I may have been able to get a hotel for a lower price if I waited until it got closer to my date, but I wanted to get it settled.

Anyway, if you know you want the Hyatt, then Priceline is not the way to go. But Priceline is a good way to get a nice hotel room at the airport for a great price.

I will be arriving on March 13 and my curise will be on March 14. So I really want to stay at a hotel close to the airport with the hope that the hotel would provide free shuttle.

Your message is a good news to me as now I know all hotels close to the airport provide free shuttle.

Is there any more tricks I should know if I am going to bid at Priceline?

Is booking 3 weeks beofre our trip quite safe? I have no idea if mid-March is high season in Orland on March 13.
