Hotwire.com for Hotels- Good -or Bad

Has anyone used www.hotwire.com for hotels? I checked for Universal Area Hotels and got quoted $36 night for a 3*. I was just wondering if anyone knew what hotels come up with this website. Thanks!!!

BBBAAAADDD!!! And I can tell you exactly which hotel you would likely get. The Quality Inn Plaza, which is a AAA 2 Diamond hotel!!!

I know, because one of the members of the Priceline board I host bought exactly that. A 3 Key (that's what Hotwire calls their rating system; it's not the same at all as Priceline's star system) in the Universal zone for $36, which came to $45 when they added fees. She got the Quality Inn Plaza which had an Internet rate available on its website for $28.75 + 11% tax for the exact same night. She disputed it with Hotwire and got her money refunded.
