Hotty Toddy, WDW almighty!

I meant to ask (sorry to be ignorant) your location MS, is that Missouri?

Woo hoo another Decemberer - more people to look for, I'll be taking a stack of pictures of you guys with me at this rate, I'd hate to miss a potential meet n greet :scared1:

Nope, it's in Mississippi. We are a suburb of Memphis, TN though.

Ewwww... pictures. Really? :scared1:

I had the passporter last year and loved it too.

Just got home from Home Depot and a pocket full of Mickey Heads. I grabbed Alien Green :) and some christmas appropriate colors. I figured they would come in handy for something. Must not be too many Dis'ers in the area of this specific store because the Mickey Heads were bursting out of the holders for all colors.

How did you make your tags?

Well, luckily the Home Depot is right next door to the Office Max! I bought 2 "make-your-own-luggage-tags" that you can self laminate (just about anything). I put the LGMH back to back and just stuck them there. I would have put my board name on there, but I didn't think anyone would know who I was anyway! :rotfl:

I also made some "calling card" types to hand out. But, I felt a little silly, so I never used them. They had my board name on them, though. I wish other DISers had them when I went in September. Many people came up to me, we chatted... then I forgot their board names! So, maybe I will use them after all!

I handed my DD her LGMH a couple of weeks ago. I said "you need to put this on your park backpack". She just looked at me like "OK....". :rotfl: And then she signed up on the DIS! :woohoo:

She also threatened that bad things would happen if I lost it.
Haven't. :thumbsup2

Thanks for that, you'd have thought they'd vary the starting letters of each state a bit more - there are too many M's and N's, no Y, B, E, X :lmao:

I seem to recall something about making hay in TN? I've been to Memphis and Nashville, we had a great time on Beale Street :cool1:

Yup, and arrival/departure dates (I can't remember all that info for 3-4 people - so far), I wouldn't want to go up to just anyone coz they looked similar (I totally sound like a stalker but I have a terrible memory). I'll have to take a notebook too to write down anyones Dis name or I'll totally forget

Those calling cards are a great idea - helps with the spelling and upper/lower case letters. I will have to make a few :thumbsup2 I hope you feel more confident about handing them out tho, I want one anyway :goodvibes (although I know your name already ;) )

Glad to see you daughter is getting on board, the more LGMH's the merrier :woohoo:

LOL! ... yes, I did.

I know where yours is, but it's not attached to a bag yet. :confused3
What are you waiting for? We only have 95 days left! :rotfl:

I don't know about the hay making. :confused3 I'm still a Nothern Girl at heart! And, Mandi knows more about Beale Street than I ever will. SHe's dating a musician (drummer).

I have a few peoples names and arrival/departure dates written down, too. What were your dates again? I've seen two different sets.

I like the new additions to your signature. I have a brick at WDW (near the monorail platform at the MK). Do they have one of those bars for "brick owners"?

My dates are 7th - 22nd (although we will get back to the UK on the 23rd) at first we were going to go for 1 more day and land on the 24th but the difference in price was ridiculous  I don't think I updated my spreadsheet tho so I may have just gone by that and posted that we are there til the 23rd - ooops  - or was it wishful thinking ;)

I was on the Disunplugged forum and someone asked about these cute bars, they have loads of stuff but I don't recall seeing a 'Brick owners' one :sad1:

This link has all the Disunplugged and Dis Board bars

http://www.wdwinfo.com/boards-user-bars.htm

This one has all sorts - I think you can request them (or maybe it's just the personalised bars?) They're so creative and I love how they don't take up much space (which is why I chose 5 :lovestruc )

Okee Dokee! I'm all caught up now! :thumbsup2 I think it's great that you and Mandi get to go on this trip together! I sent my mom an email today and asked if she wanted to head down to wdw the second week in December for a few days... I almost have her convinced ;)

I also think it's awesome that your parents are so ready and willing to take on the world! :worship:

Keep up the great work! Only 3 months left until you're there! :woohoo:
(don't get discouraged about writing a ptr.- you aren't able to notice it, but you do have a following of fans and lurkers who would be very disappointed if you didn't follow through :flower3: ) trust me, I know about this ;)

Well, I hope you succeed in getting your Mom down for a few. My parents are very seasoned veterans... they will be great down there!

And thank you for the encouragement! Now... go and have fun, Girl!

 Thanks Lydia! I'll put a link to my trip report in my siggie when I get it started!

Take care!

I'll definately be looking out for your bag at least (as you haven't yet posted a pic ;) ) on the 13th.

Oh, it's getting there - the weeks keep going  :cool1:

Can't wait to hear what you'll be up to the other days :thumbsup2

I'm trying my hardest to get up to 10 posts so I can post pictures. I might start making videos too. Can you vlog on a forum, or is that like rollerskating in a pool?

Anyway. On a side note, big things are going to start happening on campus, with the presidential debate and all, and I'll be updating my blog (missmandilou.wordpress.com as in my signature). Funny videos too. Because I like those.

PS (tmi). Someone started a thread about miso soup in the Japanese pavilion and I almost peed myself of excitement. :cool1:

You can include videos in a post, I know that. Just go and post some things on other threads. College, Teen, doesn't matter.

Yes, that was TMI. Thanks...

I was gonna recommend that too :thumbsup2 There are some game type things (Disney alphabet, link the words) on the community board I think :confused3 You can just add to as many as you want :yay:
