Hotmail!!!

Has anyone figured out what is going on with hotmail.com the past few days? Sometimes I can get into my email, but more times I cannot. I keep getting this message,

"Please refresh your browser window. When you access your Windows Live Hotmail account from more than one computer, we ask you to sign in again to help keep your account private and secure."

Then I click to try again, and get the same message. I am NOT on another computer, refreshing just brings the error message again, and if I could get through far enough to sign in again, I would!

Anyone know what's up?

I just now signed in through the ssl site using both IE8 and Firefox. I posted this earlier, it may apply to you:

I use Firefox and am having no problems. It sounds like a browser issue with your computer, not a problem with hotmail. If you are using No Script with Firefox make sure you are allowing live.com scripts.

How are you getting to hotmail? If you are typing www.hotmail.com you are actually redirected to login.live.com so if you blocked redirection accidently that might be the issue. Try typing login.live.com to log in and clicking on the mail link to get to hotmail.

Lastly are you signing into hotmail through the standard login page or the ssl page? This is toggled by clicking the "use enhanced security" or "use standard security" link on the sign in page. If you are using the ssl page (which I believe all people should for security) you might just need to update your root certificates.

. I only use Hotmail for anything I have to register for and for newsletters. I use Gmail for actual email I care about.

Hmm, I use hotmail from home and work and haven't seen that error message at all.

I don't know if I am doing anything wrong, but here is how I get my email. I have the login live bookmarked. I have had it this way and used it to pull my email in for years, including previous years on Internet Explorer, and for the past 9 or so months, on Firefox. I have not done anything different and up until about 5 days ago (actually possibly since I got back from WDW on Sept 1), I had no problems. Now the problem is intermittent. Using the same way to get to my email, sometimes I get in, sometimes I get that message. There doesn't seem to be any consistency.

Thanks for the ideas. I am still trying them out, just confused as to why all of a sudden I am having problems where there used to be none.
