Are you asking about the 3 Disney Hotels or all the hotels and motels around the park?
The Grand Californian is Disney's newest (and the only one they designed and built) at
Disneyland. It is located at Disney's California Adventere and just down and across the walkway from Disneyland. If youy have been to WDW and know the hotels there it was designed by the man who did the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Grand Californian is in the Craftsman Style and has a superb lobby and wonderfull decore. The rooms are the same size as the WL and AKL. It has good restaurants and the walking time to the parks is minimal. To get from our room into DCA sometimes took only a minute.
The Disneyland Hotel is three older Towers that have been remodeled and have fun though classy decore. It feels formal but had loads of Disneyland touches. Each Tower has a different layout for there regular rooms so rooms vary in size and content. The rooms in the Sierra Tower are best IMHO as , in general, they are large and have a large bathroom. The rooms in the Bonita Tower are large but have a smaller bathroom. The rooms in the Marina Tower are the smallest. To try to get a larger room here request a room with two queens and a day bed in the Sierra Tower. The pool complex is based on Neverland from Peter Pan and is fun though crowded. The grounds are pretty and the food choices are good.
The Paradise Pier Hotel is also a tower hotel though it is newer than the DLH. It has no grounds reall and the pool is a bit bland though they just added a large "roller coaster" themed slide. The rooms have just been remodeled into a beach theme and are decent size and comfortable. This is my least favorite of the 3 Disney Hotels though it is also least expensive. The big draw here is that one side of the hotel has awesome views of the New California Adventure Park.
