what is the best hotel to say in holiday inn maingate east in kissimmee, or the sheraton safari hotel in lake buena vista and what restaurant are around the area.

I have not stayed in the Holiday inns, but we once stayed at the Sheraton Safari. The price was good and you are right across the street from the Dinsey Market Place. The pool has a great slide too!
Every restaurant type and chain is around there.

I would say the Sheraton Safari. You are one light away from Hotel Plaza Blvd which leads right into the Disney properties.

There is also a lot of resturaunts in the area as well as Goodings Marketplace at the Crossroads shopping center. There is also a miniture golf place near Goodings.
