Hi Everyone,

I was hoping you could help me out with hotels around Disneyland. This morning (afternoon US time) I called the Desert Inn and Suites to book a room as my husband had stayed there before however they were not very helpful. We are staying for 13 nights and thought they would give us a reasonable rate given the length of our stay but unfortunately not. Where else would people recommend that we stay within walking distance to DL? I know most people like Hojos - what do I need to do to book the entertainment rate?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

With a 13 night stay you should be able to negotiate a good rate.... Call Hojos (make sure you call Hojos Anaheim direct) and ask for the Ent rate. If not available then see what is the best rate they can do for that length of stay. They do release additional Entertainment rate nights at later dates if they are not full.

Other hotels to try that are closer are Camelot, Tropicanna, Carousel and BWPPI, we have negotiated rates for 14+ stays at both Tropicanna($74+tax) and Carousel ($69+tax). Anaheim Plaza is about the same distance as Hojos and have heard people getting rates below $50 per night off season, whilst certainly a long way from a 4 star resort it seems to have mostly favourable reviews.

I'd go with the HoJo first, they are a very nice hotel, great staff and great rates. I'm sure if you call their 714 number and talk to Lorealle or Jennifer they will be happy to help you. :)

Thanks Pixiewings - I will give them a call tomorrow morning (Monday morning your time)! :hippie:
