Hi can anyone help me with this...we are planning a trip to DL in March 1-7 of '09, there will be 8 of us 4 adults 4 children aged 5-8. we are looking for a family suite, or adjoining rooms which hotels should we look into that are decent but not to expensive...thanks for any suggestions:goodvibes

I will put in my $0.02, but keep in mind I have not been myself, this is just my opinion based on what I have learned from this board....

I say....
Desert Inn-- Parlor Family Suite for $184 avg. per night for your dates

Or

If it becomes available Hojo entertainment rate ajoining rooms

I have to admit these are 2 of the three hotels I am considering for my own stay ( the other is Park Vue--- all based primarily on price)

I know Hojo gets great reviews on this board, I have not yet decided what I would/will do if the price is the same for all hotels (ie, not Entertainment rate)
Close hotel and breakfast vs longer walk but possibly nicer hotel

desert inn or hojos. but also look at camolot inn they were grate last year and i saw some pics of a suit it looked nice

You're fairly likely to be able to get the Entertainment book rate at Howard Johnson's, for those dates, because it's not high season. That would be $59 a night standard or $74 deluxe (though they might raise the rates before then by $5-10; the dates aren't posted past January yet). They could set you up with adjoining rooms. You'll need a 2009 Entertainment book, but you don't need it to reserve, just to check in.

HoJo gets good reviews on this board because A.) it's within walking distance, actually closer than PP or some of the DLH rooms B.) provided you can get the Ent rate, it's the nicest hotel on Harbor for that price-- it's not the Ritz, but it's a 3-star hotel, recently renovated, comfortable and good staff. C.) they have 2 very nice pool areas, one is a brand new water playground that kids are loving, from what I hear!

Hope that helps!:goodvibes
