Hello!

My boyfriend and I are planning on doing an impromptu trip to Florida from Scotland in September if we can afford it. As we havent been saving, we are trying to do this for as cheap as possible without having to stay n a days inn.

As we plan to spend so much time at Universal/Citywalk, we'd love to stay in a hotel that is close so we can walk to the park from to save on parking costs. It also means he can have a drink instead of driving every night.

We'd ideally also like somewhere that does a free breakfast and has complimentary parking. Any ideas? So far I've come accross Hyatt Place (a little too expensive at the moment but our top choice so far!) and Holiday Inn Express

Would this offer work for you?

Not sure what your exact price point is. While there is a $16 resort fee, your parking and breakfast are both included with the room rate ($69 per night for September stays, so $85 with the resort fee added).

We have booked the double tree for my brothers in the last for less than $90 a night. It is right across from Portofino and an easy walk over.

I can't remember if they had free breakfast though.

Please please avoid the days inn. One of the scariest experiences in my life since we arrived a day early (driving) and just checked into the first hotel we saw.

D'oh! :headache: Sorry OP. I totally missed the part where you wanted to be close to Universal....I thought you were looking to be close to Disney.

Quite obviously I am overdue for a weekend :rotfl: . My brain is fried! :crazy2:

Just across the street from one of Universal's entrances, there is a Fairfield Inn and a Holiday Inn Express. I think the address is 5614 Vineland Rd. I've stayed at that Fairfield before and it is very clean and comfortable and they provide a very good complimentary breakfast.

These hotels are also within short walking distance of several restaurants, a Walgreens convenience store, a Starbucks, and you'll find the Millenia Mall down the road, about a mile and a half.
