I know that not many hotels sleep up to 6 guests, but i was wondering if anybody knew of any hotel on site that does.
We are a family with 2 boys of 8 and 3 and 2 girls of 5 and 18mths, Angel would sleep be in a cot.
If anybody could help that would be fab :woohoo:

As far as I know there are no on-site hotels that sleep 6. The DCR sleeps 6 I think but that off site and you would have to drive there. You could get two connecting rooms as that would be the only way of staying on site

I believe Newport Bay do- they have family rooms, poss Disneyland hotel and maybe Sequoia lodge... I think you'd have to phone to book or you could get connecting rooms.

One thing that bugs me about Disney is it's a family resort but if you've got more than 4 in a family, then you can struggle staying on site.
My SIL to be won't go on principal, she believes if they can't cater for her family of 6 in one room at a 'family resort' (triplets of 3, a 5 yr old her and her hubby) then why should she give them her money. She doen't want to pay for 2 rooms or sleep apart from her hubby
But as I keep telling her every child has the right to go to Disney- stay off site, but I think she wants the full Disney Experience.

the family rooms only sleep a max of 5 as far as I know.

The best options are either the Davy Crockett (this would require some bed sharing as it's essentially 1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed and 1 set of bunk beds), or staying offsite at the Explorers which sleeps up to 10 in a room (you can book rooms for either 4, 6 or 10 people, depending on your family size.

We had this very same prob last year when we went to Disney world for xmas and new year with all 4 children, we ended up having to have the 2 rooms interconnected. Looks like will end up staying off site for the many years to come as we are due with baby no5 in feb lol.....................My this is going to be expensive.

Best way would be:

2 Adults in the Double Bed
3 and 5 year old in the Bunk Beds
8 year old in the Sofa bed
18month old in cot

:( i agree they should sleep larger families !

we are only a family of 4 but because my 12 yr old is classed as an adult in some hotels,we cant have the 4 of us in one room

we stay offsite anyway as its cheaper, and we prefer an apartment

Congratulations!! :goodvibes

We're a family of 5 and we stay off-site in both DLRP and WDW as they just don't cater for larger than the 2A2C families, unless you win the lottery. :sad2:

We always stay at the Explorers when we go to DLRP. I know it's not Disney but it's nicely themed and there is a kids play area plus the swimming pool has been refurbished and has a great play area in it now. It looked such fun I even went in there myself last trip and had great fun drenching everyone!

If you are considering staying off-site it might be worth considering booking independently and buying annual passes rather than purchasing a package.

There's links in the Hotel FAQ sticky to websites to book off-sites through. :goodvibes
