This will be our first time to Sea World (since the 90's) and Aquatica.

Can anyone recommend a hotel/resort within walking distance to both Sea World and Aquatica? We would like at least a 3 star hotel, but preferably a 4 star.

I have been looking at the Renaissance hotel across from Sea World. Is this resort walking distance to Aquatica as well? If so, how long would it take to walk there?

I would appreciate any suggestions and infos. Thank you.:)

Yes, you can walk from Renaissance and Hilton Garden Inn. There are two new hotels opening in June that, I believe, are next door to Aquatica. Springhill Suites and Fairfield Inn. However, I don't know there are any hotels that you could walk to both. :confused3 I think, from photos, Aquatica is located on the back side of SW. There is a road in between them. Some of the hotels may offer a shuttle, as well.

I am no expert, though. We haven't been to Orlando since 2005. We are planning a trip for July and I have been researching.

On the online maps, it said that there is an 11 minute walk from the Renaissance to Aquatica. Is this correct? If so, would it be an easy walk with sidewalks etc?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.:)

We stayed at the Renaissance last year (amazing hotel) and it took about under 10 mins to walk to SW. I guess it take about 10-15 mins to walk to Aquatica.

Sea World Drive, the street the parking lots for SW are on has a sidewalk, I think all the way to the stoplight at International Drive. International Drive, the street Acquatica is on does not have a stoplight. There is usually heavy traffic on International Drive and you have to cross the street to get to Acquatica.

Personally, the trek through the parking lot at SW at the end of a long day of walking around the park would seem like a 10 mile walk with sore feet, tired legs, and tired kids. Check with SW to see if there isn't a tram from SW to Acquatica. My son and his friends that work at Acquatica chose to drive from one parking lot to the other when they were there on Friday rather than walking from one park to the other.

BTW he is a Disney employee and gave 2 thumbs up to the food at Acquatica and the all you can eat plan. They had a blast but spent most of their time in the river which they loved. I got the impression that it is faster than most. They did it without life jackets first( all lifeguards) but opted for the life jackets the rest of the time because it made the river more fun . He said there were lots and lots of life jackets available and people should definitely use them. They thought the slides were not as good as the Disney slides and that the one through the dolphin pool was a waste since there are only 2 dolphin and chances of seeing them is slim while in the tube since they tend to stay under the rocks away from where the slide is.
Lines were short right now.
