Hotels on I 75 s of Macon Ga...

I'm in a bind!!!!We usually drive all the way to Byron Ga and stop for the night at the Best Western Inn and Suites exit 149 but know it's booked for the night of the 27th!!!! Does anybody have a motel that they like to stop at that is south of Macon on th I 75 that is clean and nice for one nights stay???? I hate not having all my plans nailed down before I leave and this is driving me crazy!!! I've been on Expedia all day looking for something but I need some names...any ideas please let me know!!!!

We stayed at a Holiday Inn at Exit 18 in Valdosta a couple of years ago. It was fine, clean, nothing fancy but had an outdoor pool. They could tell we were Canadian because our kids were the only ones in the pool in late December. But that's another 2 hours past Byron and it might be farther than you want to drive in a day.

There were also a ton of eating establishments nearby - we had supper at a Cracker Barrel that night.

I am not sure if we've got it in us to make it all the way to Valdosta but it's definately an option that I may need to consider!!!!

When we take 2 nights to get to Orlando, we always stop the second night in Byron at the Comfort Inn at exit 149. They have queen size beds, microwave/fridge and deluxe continental breakfast. I just checked and it has availability for Feb. 2th at CAA or Internet rate of $62.10

Hey Mike we stayed in the Holiday Inn this past Dec on our way down we usually stay at the Fairfield next door to the HI. We ate at the little italian place next to the hotel this trip the previous trip we ate Wendys and Taco Bell. If you go to www.roomsavers.com you can find online coupons for the fairfield inn for 45 dollars for the night. We always drive to Valdosta and stop there for the night we may try and make it into Florida next trip we will have to see.
