Hotels on Hotwire

I don't know if this is the place to ask this, but previous posters on this thread seem quite knowledgeable, so

I am not familiar with Hotwire. I have used Priceline a lot and have had good luck. What is the advantage of Hotwire over Priceline?

Because you can see the amenities offered for each hotel, you have a better guess at which hotel you are buying. Also, you can select from the offered hotels/prices (though you don't know their names).
