I have been looking at some of the hotel/motels on Harbor and want to see if there are any suggestions. It would be for 2 nights. We are looking at Hotel Lulu, Portifino, Cortona or the Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove. Each is different in that some charge for parking and others give free breakfast and parking. I know that a cheaper nightly rate is not always a good thing when it comes to room quality, but I want to make sure that we can have a full night stay without worrying about something in the room. I previously stayed at Clarion and did not have a pleasant experience there

There are alot of good options to stay at along Harbor.

Fairfield Inn (have stayed here and enjoyed it. Good close location)
Howard Johnson (a bit further of a walk but still very close. A family member has stayed here and liked it alot)
Tropicana Inn and Suites (we are staying here for our trip in May nad it is the closest Motel to Disneyland)

If you search 2023 accomedations closest to Disneyland on Youtube there have been a couple of video review series that do recent rom tours and show the proxemity of the variious Motels to the park, helped us when we were looking.

Good luck in finding a place to stay.

We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn - it’s close, rooms are fine, and it’s a Marriott property. A bit basic - it has a small pool and hot tub, game room, and not much else.

I’ve heard good reports on the Desert Inn, and the Candy Cane Inn, both of which are close.

We’ll be doing the Howard Johnson’s next month, so we’ll see how that is.

I mostly stay at Hilton properties because I have a discount (and also they're mostly consistent when it comes to quality). So I've stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove a few times. Once before the recent renovations and now once after. It was good both before and after. Clean, safe, friendly staff. (But no free breakfast or free parking.)

The Hampton Inn that is basically next door is also good, and does have a really good free breakfast. Stayed there for my January trip.

Check out Anaheim Park Tourist on YouTube-they do lots of reviews and Crystal is on here and really helpful too! Also Rudy having Fun on YouTube-he has visited quite a few and has a very good dry sense of humour
Thank you!!

OP, of the hotels you have listed, we have only stayed at Lulu. Our stay was just ok there. We had a number of issues with our room. Most notably, the door didn’t shut correctly. But…we did have good interactions with the staff and would consider staying there again in the future to give them another chance. The walk to the parks was super quick and easy. And it’s super close to Walgreens if you need to pick up anything on the trip. If you decide to stay there, I would ask for a room in the building with the main lobby. We were not in that building, and we wished we were. Hope that helps and have fun trip planning!

If you’re looking for something budget minded, I would look into Kings Inn as well. No breakfast, but free parking. ☺️ and it has really good reviews. My husband stayed there and really liked it.

If we stay off property then it’s the Wyndham every time. Free underground secure parking and a very fri staff. A great cafe that has Starbucks.

Clarion is an experience in itself...

Candy Cane Inn might be a good option for you. Free parking and breakfast, plus closer to the gate than the places on your list.

I've stayed at Kings Inn too and enjoyed it, it's no frills. I also like the Americas Best Value Inn next door. Both are great options and I find the walk really pleasant. I also like all the restaurants right next door!

Our friends stay at Americas best value inn quite a bit! We haven’t checked that one out yet. But have heard good things. ☺️

We stayed at Best Western Park Place last summer and really enjoyed it. Asked for a room in the back and it was nice a quiet. And no hotel is closer to the Disneyland Park gates, not even the Grand Cal (which is way closer to DCA, but costs 4x - 5x as much as the Best Western. Believe it or not but was also spent three nights in a DVC studio at Grand Cal that same trip and my wife preferred the BW Park Place! Not me - I'm sorry but watching (really listening to) World of Color from our balcony while having a nice cold adult beverage trumps all!

And another vote for Anaheim Park Tourist on YouTube. Tons of great review videos of Anaheim hotels from A-Z. And the walking to the park videos give you a great sense of how long it takes to walk from some of the hotels to the Disneyland entrance. I have not really found those on other channels.
