What are good hotels on a budget? My mom is thinking of taking my neices before school starts and was not sure of hotels to stay in. It will be her and 3 girls ages 1 at 10 years old 2 at 6 years old.

A favorite here on Disboards is Hojo's; with the Entertainment Book discount, rooms there start at $59 a night, but the discount is only available on certain days. Here's a link to the dates: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14 Hojo's has a pirate-themed water play area for kids, is within short walking distance to the Park, and the hotel itsself is really nice for the price!

Another option is the Anaheim Plaza Hotel, on Harbor Blvd, which is about a 10 minute walk from hotel to Park. It's an older hotel, but the rooms are really big (and usually have either a large balcony or enclosed "yard"), the grounds are nicely landscaped, and the pool is HUGE (half Olympic sized) & heated. Rooms there generally go for around $60 a night if you book through their website: http://anaheimplazahotel.com/

My personal favorite is Best Western Stovall's, which is on Katella. It's a bit further than the hotels on Harbor (but is accessable via the ART bus, which picks up right in fromt of the hotel) & costs a little bit more than the first 2 I mentioned. But...the rooms have all been recently redone, with super-comfortable beds & a microwave + refrigerator in every room, breakfast is included, and the pool area is spacious & super cute (it's surrounded by topiary trees in animal shapes, much like it's a small world!). You can often get a good deal on a room by booking in advance through the Best Western website: http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/priceAvail.do?propertyCode=05185

Hope this helps!

I'll second HOJO. We love that place.

We've stayed at Amaheim Plaza as well and it was fine. We've actually got a backup reservation here for our possible October trip. lol

I'll also add the Desert Inn & Suites. We've never had any issues there and it's close. We've got our main reservation here for the possible October trip. IF we have to change dates, I'll go with Anaheim Plaza as it is about half the price for the time we'll be there.

For our dates in late September, Orbitz.com has a rate of $49 on the weeknights at Anaheim Plaza. You have to pre-pay but I think that's pretty darn awesome!

HoJo is a good choice but there are some closer hotels. The HoJo is about 5-7 minute further walk then the hotels just across the street. The family suite we stayed in faced the highway and the traffic was loud. The pool area is nice.

My sister and her family (sis, husband, and four kids) stayed at the Portofino last week. They loved it. It's very close, fairly inexpensive, and their suite had beds for everyone.

Thanks for this link...made our reservations today for our October trip! Getting more excited by the minute!

Where did you find it to be so cheap?:)

I've have also got a room at BWPPI for $95. The room type I got for that price is the double bedroom or the king bedroom. I got mine on the Best Western website around a few weeks before my trip or close to the date. I booked it with AAA. That is only if the hotel couldn't sell all the rooms when it is close to the date.

I called the hotel directly and told them I have an entertainment card. You can buy an entertainment card off of ebay for just a few dollars--which is what I did last year when we stayed at Hojos and I needed one.

Good luck!
