We are looking for some reviews on hotels within 1 mile of Disneyworld we are interested in a 1 or 2 bedroom suite that are family friendly since there are 6 of us, they are a little to expensive on the Disneyworld resort to stay there. I know condo's and houses are also choices but we are not interested in those either. Any suggestions would be great since we have never been there and there are soo many hotels too choose from lol. Thanks

try tripadvisor....

i am actually trying to evaluate hotels now, i am cross/triple checking everything.

i have some units i can trade in through RCI. so i am reading the RCI reviews then checking out the reviews on tripadvisor and then when i have my search narrowed down to what i think are the top 10 i am doing searches here to see what others say about the resort.

doing this i thought MAgic Tree resort was on my top 3 list until i read here it was pretty old and dated.

Also try Oyster.com. Not sure how I came across it but it is a great review site. Not all hotels are on there yet though. The ones that are have tons of pictures and honest reviews.

condo and houses are easier to find and most of the time a good price.

but if you really want a hotel.

there are Marriott, Hilton - very close.

would you consider two rooms - then

We are a family of 5 so I totally understand about the cost of on site options at Disney. On our last trip we stayed in a condo at Windsor Hills which had 3 bedrooms and we loved it. For our 2011 trip we will be staying in a hotel because my DH has a lot of Hilton points from all of his business travel. So we are currently only looking at hotels in the Hilton family because it will be free!

There's the Double Tree Suites in the DTD area. I don't know if there are separate bedrooms though. There's also the Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista which have 1 and 2 bedroom suites. This is the one I think we will be staying at on our next trip. My friend stayed at the Sheraton Vistana and that has 1 and 2 bedroom villas and she really liked it there. I would also suggest you read reviews on trip advisor. Good luck! :goodvibes

Thanks for the advice I have been checking reviews for the hotels and wow it's such a hard decision I think we have narrowed it down to The Doubletree in Downtown Disney or the Buena Vista palace in Downtown Disney has anyone stayed at either of these hotels thanks again

I would highly recommend the Marriott Residence Inn towards Seaworld. Only a few minutes drive to Disney and a really nice hotel. We had a 2 bedroom/2bath suite and it was so quiet and comfy. The comp. breakfast is really good too. We are seriously considering staying there again for 1 night next Nov. But since it is my dd's birthday we may consider a Disney hotel since the kids have never stayed on property.
