hotels near port

I know that I saw this thread someplace but cannot find it now...Can someone give me some good ideas for moderately priced hotels near the port? Is it better to stay by the airport and transfer in the a.m.?? Thanks- Tracey

I was glad we went to the port the night before. I was so relaxed about getting to the ship and I would not have been had we stayed in Orlando. We stayed at the Ron Jon and i liked it. Many people stay at the Radisson and I think there is a Hampton Inn too.

www.dcltribute.com is a great site for hotels to stay at prior to cruise.

IMO if your arriving late the day before, then staying near MCO is best. If not I would find something close to PC...

we stayed at a hilton by the airport. got disney transfer to port in the morning. no problem. and no stress either! we were at port by 10 or so...really early. and it was no rush. we even had breakfast at the hotel, (which was included!) ok, had to feed the kids!
