We are driving home from WDW on Wednesday, (95 most of the way) andhave our first stop in Florence, SC. but our second stop will probably be in New Jersey around Perth Amboy or New Brunswick area, which we aren't familiar with. Can someone recommend a hotel that is close to 95 and would have a few restaurants there. Thanks.

I've never stayed that far north, but I've stayed at the exit 4 area of the NJ Turnpike (95) in Mount Laurel many times. Budget friendly hotels from all brands are located here and it's a real easy on/easy off exit with plenty of food choices close by too. I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn, TownePlace Suites, and Courtyard Marriott brands here. The first two have free breakfast and wi-fi.

I assume you're breaking your trip into 8 hour driving days given your first stop in FLorence, SC.. If you search my other posts you'll see a few that compare taking the shore route north up the DelMarVa peninsula and avoiding I-95.

I would go one more exit up (exit 10 on NJ turnpike) and stay at the homewood suites, sheraton, hampton inn or extended stay america

There is a Holiday inn express and Hilton right off exit 9 I95. For food you have a a lot of choice by heading down route 18 south for a mile or two. As a pp mentioned there are places right off exit 10 also

Exit 9 (New Brunswick) on the NJ Turnpike can be a real mess traffic-wise plus they're doing a lot of construction in that area so I would not recommend stopping there. I agree exit 10 would be a better choice in terms of easy off/on.

The hotels off of exit 10 (Edison) are in an office/industrial park area - Raritan Center. They aren't too bad but not super cheap either. The extended suites place isn't so nice from what I hear, I would avoid. Sheraton is expensive. Hilton Garden Inn is nice and so is Marriot Residence Inn. Not a lot of restaurant choices, you have Harold's (if you want huge portions but good food, eat there) or a Pantagis diner down the street a bit (has good cheesecake). Other chain type places are along another highway that connects to the area (Route 1). I work in the area, so good luck with your planning and trip!
