Hotels near Ashford

We will be travelling on the Direct Eurostar travelling from Ashford in early December.

Even though we only live about 2 hours from Ashford my DH is worried about traffic on M25 or delays on any of the other roads. He therefore, wants to stay near to Ashford station on the night before. Has anyone stayed at a hotel near Ashford that they can recommend.

We we last did Eurostar to DLP, we stayed at the Holiday Inn - Ashford Central.

We stayed there on the way out, and the night coming back. It's worth noting that they allow for your car to be left in their car park for a couple of night free-of-charge.

Got a taxi from their to Ashford Int. Station for about £5.

Ashford Central Holiday Inn - not overly great but for a night's stop it's OK.

We went by Eurostar a few years ago and stayed at a Travel Inn. Not sure the name but is was next to a pub/restaurant. It was just a few minutes drive away from the terminal.
