We're thinking about driving down to WDW for next Feb's school vacation as flights are out of control. If we leave Boston area around 4PM I would like to get on the other side of DC before we call it a night. Anybody have experience with hotels off of 95 in VA that would have an indoor pool so we can relax for a bit the next AM?

We have driven to WDW many times, and we've always done it with just 1 overnight stop. We usually stay at Wyndham Virginia Crossings, in Glen Allen, VA. It's a couple of exits north of Richmond, off 95. I like it because it's conveniently off the highway, and near many fast food and coffee shops. They have a nice pub/restaurant and both an indoor and outdoor pool. The area seems pretty safe, and there are a few other hotels in the area. We've been able to get a good rate through aaa. Though it may be a bit high for just a 'stop-over', we find it's worth it because we're very comfortable there.
Not sure if this would help, but a couple of times we have made it all the way to Rocky Mount, NC. (a looong first days drive) just to have a shorter drive on the second day. That area is very convenient off 95, with a few nice hotels. Good luck!

Off 95 in Woodbridge maybe. Just south of the worst of the DC traffic. There is a Residence Inn and a Courtyard just off the interstate. The area has a LOT of restaurants, and an Ikea:)

Thanks for the responses - when I drove down by myself I made it all the way to Rocky Mount but I'm not sure we can make it that far based on all the stops I'm assuming we'll have to make.
