Hotels in San Diego

Any advice on snagging a good price for a decent hotel in San Diego? I've been trying Priceline with no luck. We are taking my nieces who are from Alaska to SD for the weekend of Oct 11-13.

Check biddingfortravel.com It will show you what others have bid for area hotels. Also check expedia because they will have specials.
