Hotels in New Jersey Advice

We are having difficulty deciding on hotel Locations in New Jersey for a couple of nights stay before our cruise out of NYC.

Garden Inn, Ridgefield Park
Holiday inn express, Paramus
Hyatt, Fair Lawn
Day inn, north bergen...They offer a shuttle into manhattan

Any suggestions???

3 years ago, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn near the Meadowlands. Jersey Transit bus service stopped across the street from the hotel and we rode the bus into NYC each morning and back in the evening. The hotel was great. Free contl. breakfast, fair rate, conveniant to the interstate and easy access to bus service. The bus lets you off at Port Authority which is in midtown near Times Square. I would stay there again if we drove to NYC.

I would suggest one of these hotels: Either the Hyatt or Westin in Jersey City are very nice and are both located in downtown JC. Both are located by the PATH train and are not that far from the New Jersey Turnpike. There is also a Marriott Courtyard across the street from the Westin.

In Hoboken there is a W, which is a short walk to the Path station.

In Weehawkin there is a Sheraton right on the water and I believe they provide free shuttle service to the Ferry which can be taken over to midtown.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the above.

How old are DD's? AC might be good for a night or so, but head over to Ocean City or Wildwood for a real taste of Jersey Shore

I didn't realize Wildwood was so close....I've been there a couple of times when I was a kid....Ocean city looks pretty cool too...thx for the tip...

AC is a bit more than 2 hours from NYC.....allow yourself at least 3.

And Imagine, the vehicle he was in was being driven by a state trooper at 90mph. On top of it all Mr Corzine was not wearing his seat belt. Bottom line is my kids are in the car so better late then never.....
