Hotels in Manchester

We are going to see Kylie in Manchester in January.

Going to make a weekend of it and do some sightseeing as well. Can anyone recoomend any hotels in Manchester?

Manchester has a lot of spiffy hotels, I'm just trying to remember where we stayed...

Ah, got it, we stayed in the Lowry, very spiffy and it's where they taped all the hotel scenes in Cold Feet Lovely room and nice location. I got it off Last Minute I think.

Well knowing how much you love your shopping Florence, there are two Travel Inns next to the Trafford Centre that we've stayed at, if you are happy to not stay in the town centre

Depends on how much you want to spend rearly. The nicest would be the Lowry- modern and expensive - the only 5 star hotel in Manchester.

Malmaison is nice and handy for the train station as well- you can sometimes get offers on Lastminute or expedia.

The Midland is one of the oldest hotels and is quite grand- centrally located and handy for the metrolink- they do great afternoon tea as well if you like that kind of thing. You can sometimes get some good weekend offers- some friends stayed recently for £50 per room and loved it.

Otherwise there are quite a few new travellodge/ travel inn/ premmier lodges dotted around, some are rearly central for bars shops and dinner. Kylie is at the MEN arena so as long as you stay in the city near the metrolink you can't go far wrong.

There is a brand new Hilton opening in September that looks amazing There is also the Radisson Edwardian that is very nice. Both of these are very central. I work in the centre of Manchester so let me know if I can be of any more help

If its going to be a boozy weekend then I can recommend the Walkabout hotel!! Its right above the Walkabout bar and its avg decoration, cheap prices and convenient for the pub!! Yes I staggered up those stairs many a time when I was a student on girly weekends in Manchester!!

great choice. you never know Kylie maybe staying there as well. people playing in Manchester often stay at the Lowry.

we have booked the midland on the Saturday we go to see Kylie - We have got the Clubbing package -£110 and breakfast delivered to our room, and we dont have to check out until 2pm
