HI we are going to DLP on Sunday 24th from St Pancras leaving at 10.20 its too early & too much messing to get a train from Manchester for this time so we have decided to take advantage of a cheap £9.00 train fare and travel dowen night before.

So I need a cheap hotel to stay in Saturday 23rd march doesnt have to be really near because time will be on our side just need it cheap as would prefer to spend my money in DLP xxx

Help any recommendations

how many people is it for? The Tune hotel group hotels are fabulous value for London (there are several now, one is literally 5 minutes from St Pancras up the Grays Inn Road) but they only do double rooms, no family rooms. Theres a Clink hostel across the road from that Tune hotel too, might be an option?

there are also travelodges and premier inns in the vicinity.

if you need a family room for 4, I've just been on booking.com and there are a few guesthouses/hotels in London with family rooms for between £60 and £80 for the night.

or on laterooms, theres the Holiday Inn at Brent Cross, has a hotel shuttle to take you to and from the tube station at Brent Cross (Northern line into/out of central London) -

Not always the cheapest but just 2 minutes walk from Eurostar is the Prmier Inn Kings Cross.

We will be on your train Sunday  and we are staying at the Premier Inn Saturday night

Once we stayed at another hotel only a few miles away but it cost us £25 in taxi fares to the station, by time you factor in the cost of travelling to the station and the stress of getting a cab to ensure your on time it may not work out cheaper to book a budget one thats not within walking distance.

We tend to stay at the London Kings Cross Royal Scot Travelodge on Kings Cross Road. It's about a 10 mins walk away from St Pancras and we have booked this hotel again for our March trip and it cost us £45 for a double room.

we did that this summer ... travelled down from Liverpool the night before ... we stayed at the Premier Inn at Stratford (at the Olympic Park). It's £39 for a family room that night right now. It was great - we caught the fast train from St Pancras (it takes about 6 minutes) so we arrived back in the right place when we needed to get the Eurostar. It's part of the Westfield shopping complex so you've food courts, shops, cinema, bowling on your doorstop. Downside ... fast train is £5.70 so if you're paying for a whole family it adds the cost up. But then if you need to get the tube anywhere in London you'll be paying £4.50 for a one way ticket anyway.

I would definitely do this OP - the fast train between Stratford and St Pancras is so easy its unreal :goodvibes.

shout out Hi Disney princess hahahahah

We always stay in the Travelodge Kings Cross, or the Travelodge Kings Cross Royal Scot - both are within walking distance of St. Pancras and we have got some bargain prices recently! :thumbsup2
