Well first of all, what and where is Garden Grove? Is this like some small town or something? But anyway, has anyone ever stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites or that new Meditteranean Holiday Inn Express in Garden Grove? If so, what were your thoughts on them...
ThankS GuyS!!!

Well, I'd call it a suburb of L.A., but I'm not sure that word applies here. :) The long and the short of it is that it's a city in the L.A. metro area, just like Anaheim. From the looks of it, it's south and a little west of Anaheim.

Garden Grove is just minutes away from Disneyland. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza on Harbor Blvd. and loved it. It is still fairly new and their rates are great for such a nice hotel. There is a Target right across the street that we used to stock up on bottled water, snacks, etc. They have their own shuttle bus that is included in a $7/day resort fee (also includes parking, I think). There are also some really nice restaurants you can walk to. One was Joe's Crabshack and I can't remember the others but I'm sure you could find out.

Garden Grove is another Town/City in Orange County, just like Anahiem. And just like Anaheim (or any other town/city) there are good parts and bad parts.

We stayed at the Embassy suites on Harbor in Garden Grove - We were happy with the area in general. There are quite a few hotels right there. I know several are fairly new - can't really help with specifics on the two you mentioned though. I think several share the same shuttle. We prefer that to using the ART bus system.

We've also stayed at the Embassy Suites Garden Grove it's in my top 3 offsites! If you don't have to be within walking distance this is a great hotel! The staff was wonderful! The hot cooked to order breakfast is great, the lobby is beautiful, the manager's recepetion is awesome ;) the rooms are very spacious and it's nice to have room service after you've been traipsing through the parks all day long! LOL! The shuttle was a full size bus, the drived stowed the strollers for you and it was shared with the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden(I think it was)It was about a 5 min. drive to DL if that.

The Hampton is right next to Embassy and it looked nice too! Check out the Embassy!

We have been to Hampton Inn 3 times in the last 3 years. It has become sort of an annual trip. We enjoy the Hampton, the price is right, breakfast is convient and there is a good selection of food. Best of all the shuttle runs every 30 min. to and from the parks, Hampton is the first on and first off stop. so you always get a seat and on the way back you get off first.

If you have never stayed at a hampton inn, then I should explain that it is not fancy but, plenty clean and comfortable. the rooms have a refridge and microwave for quick easy dinners. The pool is swimable but, nothing fancy or themed.

We are a family of 5 and stay in a room comfortably. We don't spend much time hanging around the room so we don't need fancy though. I have always felt safe and slept well.

As for what Garden Grove is..... you will never know you went from Anahiem to GG. it all runs together because it is such a metropololis. That is the beauty of Disneyland. It is in the heart of the city.
Hope this helps, have a great time
Keep Smiling

Does anyone know if this is near the Residennce Inn on Harbor? It says 4 blocks from Disney but I assume they mean 4 large intersections because on teh map it looks really far. Any info on this hotel would be very helpful. I would've like to try the Embassy or Hampton but it was picked for us by the company.I am just trying to find out what to expect.
Thanks
