Hotels for 5 with very short walk

We're headed to DLR in early December and have 5 in our family (DH, myself, 16yo, 14yo and 11yo). We're looking for a hotel with both beds enough for 5 (2 beds and a pull-out sofa is fine... even a rollaway would work if there is enough room) and affordably priced. And since we always walk to and from the parks we want one in very closer proximity to the pedestrian gate.

Do you have any hotels that you'd suggest? What did you like about them?

Thanks for your help!

these are the hotels that are the closest in proximity to the gate:

Hojo anaheim

Fairfield Inn

Camelot Inn

Carousel Inn

Tropicana

Best Western Park Place Inn

Park Vue Inn

Desert Inn and Suites

Anaheim Del Sol Inn

Best Western Anaheim Inn

Ramada Maingate

hope that helps :)

It does to some extent. I'm wondering which have larger rooms or suites or something other than a basic 2-bed room (which will be hard to fit our family into, especially with all 3 guys 6 foot or over).

I'd recommend the Best Western Park Place Inn. You could get a mini suite that easily sleeps 5, it is right across from the crosswalk, and you get a small breakfast, too.

I second the BWPPI. The mini-suites have 2 queen beds and a pullout couch. The sink and mirror are outside the bathroom, which houses the toilet and tub/shower, which I think is very helpful when a lot of people are getting ready at the same time. The room we stayed in had a very long counter, with the sink in the middle. I don't know if your teens are boys or girls, but there was plenty of room for two people to do hair/makeup at the same time if need be.

Have a great trip!! :flower3:

We stayed HoJo twice and thought we'd try someplace new. Thanks for the link though.

Anyone stayed at the Desert Inn? I'm seriously considering staying there. Best deal for a suite that I've found so far.

The other option is the Del Sol room with the bunk beds and two queens. Any thoughts on Del Sol?

We are a family of 5 (kids are teens) and we really like BWPPI. It is enough room for us, has breakfast, and you can't beat the proximity. It was clean, had comfortable beds, and was quite quiet. The pool is small, but we don't usually use it. It was the 2 queen, sofabed mini suite.

We've stayed at BWPPI and Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. Both have rooms that would work for you and are right near the crosswalk to Disneyland. I'd recommend both.

We stayed there is the Parlor suite A ( I think) with the spa bathtub. I was worried about the beds but found them just fine. The internet was awful, could not get it to work most of the time, but LOVED the bathtub and the location. I would stay there again.

We stayed at Desert Inn and Suites. We had a suite that started with a Y. It had a king bed as you walk in the door then walk past the bath room and small area with microwave and fridge in to another room with a pull out sofa and bunk beds. We had my self, dh, my mom, niece age 11, my daughter age 5 and my son who was 1. We did not feel to cramped with the sofa area.

We also walked there and back and did not feel the walk was that bad. It was 10-15 minutes. I also liked we did not need to cross a main street just where the buses enter.

we also stayed at desert inn & suites on our trip last year, and we are staying there again this year and on our trip next year...

we found the wifi totally fine. we got a suite with 2 beds in each room, 2 full rooms, but you might find that a regular family parlour suite with 2 beds and a sofa bed might suit you better. they offer a free breakfast, but it contains mostly pastry and cereal, and the occasional bit of fruit. it's provided free so its not much and we adjusted our expectations accordingly...

it's literally across the road from the pedestrian entry to disneyland, so it's maybe a 3 minute walk (depending on your walking speed) to get from the entryway from the hotel to the front entrance to disneyland + however long you wait at the crosswalk to cross. it's one of the closest hotels to disneyland, unless you count the grand californian on site.

we found the beds totally fine, and actually quite good for tall people (i am 5'10 and my partner is 6'4.

ymmv, but we found it a really good budget option for accomodation really close to DLR.

Thanks for the reviews on the Desert Inn.

Only thing I'm still wondering about is the Del Sol. It's the cheapest option (saves us total of about $150 over Desert Inn) and since we do nothing except sleep in the room, we really just need something clean and comfortable. Savings aren't worth it if the Del Sol is questionable. Anyone ever stayed at the Del Sol?

DLH, did five couple years ago for nine days. We had a great time. Two queens and a pull out couch, seperate washroom/toilet facilities, and of course a mini fridge and microwave. Get lost in the "Disney Experiance", characters in the lobby, goofies kitchen, coffee/snack shop, great cafes by the pool area, disney gift privilages, free wi-fi, the pool and hottubs, and use the monorail to enter DL or cut through the Grand to enter DCA. we love it...:cool1:

The Park Vue Inn also has 2 room 3 queen suies or 2 room 2 queen one pull out couch suites, the Portofino also has two room suites. You could check those.

My personal opinion is to stay in Garden Grove in really nice hotels in two rooms suites with mini kitchens and free full made to order breakfasts and take ART. I know it sucks for the shuttle, but I like to go back to a nice hotel and for us breakfast is important and expensive for a good one for 4 so a made to order one is perfect. This is also much cheaper.

Park Vue is sold out of suites for part of our stay. So they're out.

Isn't Portofino a ways away from the park entrace? The rooms like nice but I want to be really close so we don't have to rely on ART or have a huge hike back to our room.
