If you've used hotels.com, what was your experience? Did you like it?

I only used them once so far and the hotel that I got was terrible. It was in Daytona Beach. Thank goodness the time that we went was not a busy time. We cancelled our reservation and went to another hotel. The hotel we were suppose to stay at was along the beach and we were suppose to have a view of the ocean. We got there and the hotel was under construction, it smelt horrible, and yes you could see the ocean from the room if you opened the window and leaned out. Thank goodness we decided to check the room out before checking in because I would have died if we had to have stayed there. I have been trying to find a hotel just so that I know what is available in the city so I can call myself and find out the best price. At least in this case we know the city we are looking at.

I used it to book a hotel (the venetian) in las vegas. Actually, we booked once, and a couple weeks later they had a cheaper rate, so for 20 bucks or so we changed. It was a good experiance, and I would use them again. However, still use expedia to check pictures etc, as hotels.com is not very in depth
