Hotels close to US

Just wondering if anyone had any input on Hotels within walkling distance to US. My wife and I satyed at the Holiday Inn across the street last year and had a positive expieriance, but seems like alot of people have negative things to say about it since. So we wanna research other options. This is a spur of the moment trip and I don't have alot of time to plan. Any advice would be apperciated.

The Hyatt Place next to the Holiday Inn express is pretty good,I stayed there a couple times about 3-4 years ago.The only negative that I recall is that the breakfast area is too small,the rooms however were great.

The doubletree is right across the street and is also very nice... great prices too!
