:earsgirl: We want to visit the different hotels in The Boardwalk are, What are they and how do we get to them.
We will be at either Magic Kingdom or Epcot. :moped:

I'm wondering the same thing and I've asked for photos on other threads but am not getting any. I've heard that the decorations at the Boardwalk Inn are beautiful though.

The Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk< Swan and Dolphin all encircle a small manmade "lake" with a walking path taht goes all teh way around it.

The decorations at the BW are the best that WDW offers (they tie with AKL--which are more exotic in nature), simply magnificiant. Very Currier and Ive's, traditional Christmas and stunning.

The Swana dn Dolphon are nice, but nothing special. I prefer the BC to the YC.

You might want to check out Wilderness Lodge as well, buts on teh other end of the property.

The Epcot area resorts are:

Boardwalk Inn
Boardwalk Villas
Yacht Club
Beach Club
Beach Club Villas
Swan
Dolphin

All are set around Crescent Lake, you could walk to all of them, or take a boat. You can exit Epcot thru the International Gateway - between France and the UK - and walk or boat to the area.

If you are coming from the MK, just get on one of the buses to these resorts - I believe they all share the same bus.

If you go to allearsnet.com and look at Accommodations then click on the different resorts, Boardwalk, Beach Yatch club, they will have pictures of Christmas decorations.

good luck

If you are using Disney transportation, you can do the following

Take the bus to Epcot, exit by France and walk around the lake and boardwalk, seeing BW, Swan, Dolphin ( i think the tree in the dolphin is gorgeous and soo big) , BC & YC.

You can take the bus to MGM, and take the boat over to the boardwalk area.

You can take the bus to the TTC and catch a bus to any of the resorts in the Boardwalk area.

We tried to do the monorail resorts last year before the MVMCP.. we only got thru the COntemporary and Grand Floridian! We loved the ginger bread house at GF!

It would be easiest to visit the boardwalk area on your planned Epcot day. Go past the United Kingdom and you will come to the International Gateway of Epcot. This is the small entrance/exit used by people staying in the Epcot resorts. Just keep walking.....straight will take you to the Beach Club, then Yacht Club, then Swan and Dolphin and finally the Boardwalk. The Beach Club is the closest and about a 5 minute walk from Epcot.
You can also turn left at the first bridge which will take you to the boardwalk side. You can then reverse the resort order with the Boardwalk first and the Beach Club last.
You can also get to this area from the Studios by taking the Friendship boats that travel between the two parks. The boats stop along the way at the Epcot resorts.

The TTC no longer has buses that go directly to the resorts. If you want to take a bus to the actual resort you will need to get to any of the theme parks, the water parks, or downtown disney. You will be able to catch a bus to the Boardwalk Inn or any other of the resorts in that area. I agree that the BWI decoration are awesome.

You will love the holiday decorations at these resorts!!! They are beautiful. You can do it two different ways, depending on what else you have planned for the day. If you are in MK that morning, you can take the BW bus back to the BW. Then, just amble around the lake, stopping in each resort along the way. Then, you can either hop a bus at any of the resorts for a different park. If you are going to Epcot that day, just exit WS between UK and France via the International Gateway. Then, again, walk around the lake viewing the resorts.
You can walk from MGM to the BW area and then continue along with your plans. You would find it easier to start in a park and then hop a bus to BW/BC/YC. Then at the end, hop a bus back to a park, or walk over to MGM (or take a Friendship boat) or walk through Epcot. But, walking through Epcot requires you to use a park entry on your passes. MGM does not, since you never have to enter the park...you just keep walking, past the entrance, to the bus area...from either the path from BW or from the boat dock.
