Hotels at MCO Airport

What hotels do you all recommend at the airport and how do you get the best rate?

The most convenient is the Hyatt since it is right in the airport. They sometimes offer an internet rate on their website.

You can get the best rate at an airport hotel by using Priceline, but you only control the general area and the quality, you can't pick a specific hotel. Plus, once you have an accepted bid, you've paid for the room, so no backing out or changing your mind.

We are staying at the Hyatt in June and I got an internet rate of $83.

I just tried the internet rate for the August date we need and it was $143. I will keep checking because $83 would be perfect

I just got a Priceline rate at the Holiday Inn Select of $45 for Jan 31. It is a Priceline 3* in the airport area. They offer 24 hour shuttle service also.

Don't stay at the Howard Johnson's by MCO. We stayed there one night during our last trip. Thank goodness it was just one night. Although the room was clean, the outside lacked a lot to be desired. It was dimly lit and needed a lot of work. If you don't have a car, the walk to your room can be fairly long, especially when your hauling your luggage. It was just kind of scary all around.
