What do you guys think?
I had gotten a $10 rate champion credit, and book a hotel last night with hotelkingdom. The room was $44 and for 1 night. When they emailed me today, they said they would only credit the deposit of $5- not $10. They said I could use the other $5 at another time.

Here is what is on their website: Do you think I should get the $5 or the $10? I know it is only $5, but it is the principal of the thing!

Did they give you a reason why they were only crediting $5 instead of the $10?

If not, I would just give them a call and find out why they did.

to Hotelkingdom was $5, not $10.
I have been emailing them, but have not heard back as to what they are going to do.

you are more than likely paying the balance of your stay directly to the hotel so there isnt anything more for hotelkingdom to credit you twards. Hotelkingdom can only credit what you are paying to them. apparently they do not send any sort of money to the hotel which seems like why they can not credit you any more than they have, if $5 is all that you actually paid hotelkingdom, they cant over credit the amount you paid. from what I gather, the deposit is the $$ that hotel kingdom gets to keep as a "finders fee" & they dont transfer that amount to the hotel therefore not being able to "transfer" your extra $5 credit that hotelkingdom owes you.

I jsut got an email from Victoria saying that they would mail out the remainder of the $10 credit as a check.
Hope so-I like using hotelkingdom.
