Hi All;

Looking to come down to WDW feb 3-feb 12. Looked at hotel kingdom for that time period and almost all hotels are unavailable. Is there something going on that I haven't heard about that would result in most hotels filling up at that time??
Thanks

I had that same problem when I was looking for late January. I also am having that same issue when trying to get a hotel in D.C.. in February- at what should be a quite week. Part of me is wondering if they may not be getting their inventory until later now. Or maybe there is events we are not it the "know" about.

Here's a calendar - just for the Convention Center http://www.occc.net/global/calendar/ ...adn I think I read somewhere else that there's a National Homebuilders Assn convention there this year as well..

Good luck:)

I was in WDW last Feb 10-14 and it was crowded (I was suprised). I stayed at Pop Century and a CM in the (packed) food court told my friends and I that the resort was booked to the hilt that week. There was a big cheerleading competition ---mostly evident at Disney MGM---but we saw them everywhere really. In addition, there was a HS band competition in the Daytona area----but alot of the kids were staying in wdw resorts. My Southwest flight was at least 50% kids from the band competitions.
So I'm thinking if the wdw hotels were just about booked solid, that would trickle down to the offsite resorts as well ? Not sure if these cheerleading and band competitions occur at the same time every year or not ? Good luck.

Both Cypress Pointes are also now booked on hotelkingdom for the week after Presdient's week; there was availability as little as two weeks ago. But, there is availability through other outlets.

It could just be that hotelkingdom's room allocation is small to begin with.

Thanks Brian,
Where do you turn for a good rate for cypress pointe if Hotelkingdom is showing no vacancies??
Thanks

So I am starting to find some vacancies for cypress pointe (my preferred property). But it seems the rate has sky rocketed in the last week. A week ago hotelkingdom had vacancies at $93 a night for a two bedroom and now everywhere else seems to be $200 plus for the same room.

I feel kind of foolish because we are travelling with friends to orlando and on our recommendation they have a reservation for our time period for $93 a night. We were busy with work and christmas and when we went to book yesterday we found a problem with availability and now with price. It's a nice property but I don't think it's worth over $200 a night.

On Discount Hotels they show it for $159 per night but I can't tell if that includes tax or not.

Well...
I'm not sure how many teams will be there but I know our girls will be busy most of the time during the day at the events that take place Feb 3-5.
AS-Sports and CBR were the two choices of resorts in the offical travel package.
DD is staying with her team but we are staying off-site in a timeshare. When I had checked rates off site four months back, there were all ready more than a few sold out resorts including Swan & Dolphin.

Have fun... :sunny:
