Any suggestions for a place to stay in Fort Lauderdale the night before boarding? Someplace with a shuttle would be best.

All depends on how much you want to spend per night. We are staying at the Marriott Courtyard, but it is expensive $300+ a night . I have Marriott points so i can save some of that rate, and they shuttle us to the ship in the morning.

You might want to stay in the airport area and catch a cab in the morning, shouldn't be overly expensive $15.00 or so.

Search FLL cruise hotels on Google, many of them have a free or low cost shuttle to take you to the cruise dock.

There are a lot of options. Quite a few offer a free shuttle to the terminal too. If you are using a travel agent, ask them to look a few up for you. That's what we did.

With cabs so cheap there it really opens the options up so I'm not so worried about it, and we have plenty of time to get something nailed down. We're thinking of flying in the day before (just in case bad things happen to delay us).

I have heard really good things about the Embassy Suites there. So many good things that we'll likely be there the night before our next RCCL cruise.

We are going to try Embassy Suites for our next trip. Found some good reviews and close to port. Not sure about the shuttle. We will either do a taxi or car service.
