Can anyone suggest a hotel in the immediate Disneyland area that has an indoor pool? I know the Desert Inn does, and we are considering it, but are there others? I haven't been able to find any.
Thanks!

As far as i know DI is the only one that is within walking distance. I think this is ludicrious considering there are only about 5 good months for outdoor swiming !

Is the covered part of the pool the deep end ? I couldn't see in the picture where the entry was ?

I believe the large convention Hilton hotel has both an outdoor pool and an indoor pool.

THis is a great question. I never knew that about the Desert Inn.

I just got back from the Desert Inn and Suites last week and I thought the pool was a little creepy.

It was clean (from what I could tell), but the room it was in was very small and had a stong smell of chlorine.

The hotel only had one way in and out and the pool was just past the entrance. It has full lenght windows so you are kinda like in a fish bowl. Everyone walking by looks in. There were 2 or 3 of those plastic patio chairs in there to sit on if you are a parent watching you kids swim. But barely enough room for them to be on the deck. The hot tub is a few feet from the pool towards the back.

The pool always had people in it from afternoon till closing, I think 10 or 11 pm. Not a huge pool, but maybe backyard personal pool size.

I guess the part that creeped me out was that there was no plants in the room, even fake one would help the look and everytime someone walked by, they would stare in the window.

We never swam in it, we didn't have time and my kids don't really like pools, but if you want a warm inviting pool, Desert Inn would not be the place to go. If you wanted an indoor place to let your kids burn off some energy and didn't really care about the surroundings, it would work.

Thanks for all the replies everyone!!

Keep on posting on this topic if anyone has more information!

Also, for hotels with outdoor pools, can anyone comment on how warm (or cold) certain hotels keep their pools? My kids would probably go in if the weather was cool if the water was warm enough!

How about atmosphere around the pools? Are they in the middle of parking lots or where? The fishbowl description of the Desert Inn pool creeps me out too!

Thanks!:smooth:

I guess it never bothered me ! But i was usually sitting in the hot tub. It really is your only choice if you want a S Harbor walking distance motel.
Now Carousel could easily enclose their rooftop pool, and that would be very nice. Most others are parking lot pools.
