Are there any hotels near WDW that have their own shuttle bus ?

Last time we stayed in Orlando they hotel said free shuttle service but it was one that served a bunch of hotels and only ran to WDW once in the morning and picked up an hr after AK closed and 2 hr after MK closed. I am not willing to stay somewhere that only has that shuttle again.

Does anyone know of a hotel that has a better shuttle service ? Or do we have to stay onsite this time ?

There are 2 adults and 4 kids so it gets pricey to stay on site.

If you're staying on International Drive I'd suggest getting the public bus, the Lynx. We did and saved a LOT of money, plus you can come and go whatever time you like! we got the number 8 lynx OR the i-ride as far as seaworld (you can just aske the driver to tell you where to get off to catch the lynx to disney, everyone does it. ask the driver for transfers, they're free so you don't ahve to pay again on the second bus). then we caught the 50 lynx to the TTC, and the same on the way back. :thumbsup2

most hotels share.

the few who don't - timeshares generally - will charge you a fee.

I didn't realize until a few days ago that Hyatt Grande Cypress has a Mears shuttle to WDW - it probably doesn't share.

but you can stay at Pop Century for less than the Hyatt.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway in December, 2006 and the hotel's shuttle served only that hotel.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the Comfort Inn but the maximum room occup is 5 and we have 6.

I like the idea of that bus though. It has alot of runs going. We could go at almost anytime we want to ! Is it a long trip to the TTC ?

not at all, 15 minutes at the most. it usually takes around 25 or 30 minutes in total. the buses generally stick to their schedule really tightly so it's easy to plan around them. I've done the hotel shuttle thing before and I know it can be a really bad start to the day when you spend an hour or more driving around to other hotels. And with that many people, it can get really expensive.

The Bus shuttle at Best Western Lakeside is very good. Niice clean buses with movies playing for the kids. They did not share the bus going to Disney. The bus did make just one stop coming back from Seaworld to a hotel across the raod from Seaworld.

The Best Western is very close to Disney, especially animal kingdom. There is a short cut road and it is about 5 minutes total away!

This hotel is very clean and beautiful landscaped with 3 heated pools and kids eat free! I was planning on staying there this past Christmas but Disney sent me a code off for 40% off room and that made it at par with Best Western Lakeside!
