Looking for rooms that aren't crazy expensive that have an extra room for nap time! Kiddos will not nap in the same room as us. Doesn't have to have a bed in it, just somewhere to put a pack n play that is not in the same room as us. Any suggestions?!

What is crazy expensive to you?
The cheapest - but not cheap - option would be All Stars family suites. AoA suites are more expensive but also would give you a room for a nap.
None of the other resorts have an extra "room" for a nap. A moderate may have an area in the bathroom area - same room, but slightly removed - for a pack n play. But that would prohibit using the bathroom during naptime or at night.

You're gonna either need a 1-bedroom suite or villa, or one of the deluxe rooms. WL and YC (off the top of my head) each have a room they call a "deluxe" room. They have an area separate from the main area. But they're club level and more expensive.

Call me crazy but I would recommend the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. They definitely have a separate room for nap time. For our first trip(s) with our boy the cabin was perfect. He loved the pony rides, the campfire with Chip and Dale, and watching the electrical water parade from the beach.

I agree with LizzieLou about the cabins. When I checked out rates for January 2018, the rate for the cabins is about the same as the rate for a suite at AoA, however I think the cabins will provide a bit more privacy and quiet, since they are each their own separate building. Also, having a kitchen can be convenient so you and your spouse can have a snack/cold drinks while your little one is napping.

What's your budget? What I consider "crazy expensive" could be markedly different than what you think. Is staying onsite essential? You can get a lot more space if you were to choose a hotel that is near the parks but not a Disney property.

If having a suite or condo style property is a priority and budget is a concern you will most likely have to stay offsite. The most inexpensive family suite will likely be over $300 a night. A suite at Embassy Lake Buena Vista South will be around $130 and include breakfast. It really will matter what your priorities are.

I had children that would not nap with anyone in the room. However, they were so exhausted at Disney that it did not matter. Often naps were taken at the parks as well.

With young kids our priorities were ease to and from parks. We stayed at the Contemporary a lot to be able to walk to MK. Garden wing rooms are a good value at Disney but still expensive by most standards.

Usually, yes. But the rate varies greatly depending on time of year. This year the All Star Suites at the lowest cost $255 a night.

Also, staying off site the OP may have to factor in renting a car, and they will have to factor in paying for parking and gas.

OP--Is off site an option? What sort of rate do you consider "crazy expensive"?

Another option I would price out is getting connecting rooms at a Value Resort or at a Moderate Resort. It would give you access to 2 rooms but I would see if it really is less expensive than the Family Suite at All Star Music. Just priced it out and it was significantly less than AoA for next September ( 2018 ).

As long as it is kept in mind connecting rooms are not a bookable category. They are a request only and not guaranteed.

If we are talking one pack n play you can fit one in the sink area of a value resort. We stayed at Pop Century and put ours there and pulled the curtain so he couldn't see us. It worked. Area wasn't super spacious but we didn't mind.
